Spanish speakers. It is offered as an
alternative language course for students desiring to use Spanish in
business. It will not focus on grammar
or Spanish literature and is not intended to be a college-prep course.

care, travel, newspaper/radio (1 semester)
Students will learn to
communicate effectively in spoken and written forms in Spanish using
appropriate vocabulary and expressions.
There is no prior Spanish experience needed for this course, but
Hispanic students and students with some experience will find this course
easier. This is a practical approach to
enhance the students ability to communicate in both Spanish and English in the
workplace. Field trips are planned.
2. Spanish in banking,
retail, education and food industry (1 semester)
Students will learn to
communicate effectively in spoken and written forms in Spanish using
appropriate vocabulary and expressions.
There is no prior Spanish experience needed for this course, but
Hispanic students and students with some experience will find this course
easier. This is a practical approach to
enhance the students ability to communicate in both Spanish and English in the
work place. Field trips are planned.
NOTE: These classes are not meant to fulfill the
college bound classes of Spanish I and II but if students do well in both these
classes they could count as Spanish I credit for students who want to enroll in
Spanish II.
