- Locker Rooms & Indoor Practice Facility
Bids will soon be let for new locker rooms to be built on the east side of the 2006 Bruin Field House. An indoor practice facility will be built on the property once occupied by the Crestview Apartments, just across 18th Street from the Bruin Field House and the Fine Arts Center. - Stadium Leaks
The 1954 stadium has leaked for years due to problems with its inaccessible inner roof. Either before the start of soccer season or during the summer of 2009 all of the seating will be removed so that a sealant can be applied to the concrete seating deck and there will be work on the expansion joints. Hopefully this will alleviate the infiltration problems. - New Lockers
The decrepit student lockers will finally be replaced in the summer of 2009 with wider double-tier units. - Classroom Technology
Many classrooms now feature ceiling-mounted LCD projectors and sound systems. Plans are to finish incomplete installations from last summer and then, in the summer of 2009, equip most of the additional rooms. By 2010-2011 every classroom should have this technology. - Future Bond Work
The 2007 bond issue will eventually fund additional renovations in the 2010-2013 timeframe:
- Replacement of HVAC systems in central portion of main building (office areas, former library, rooms 220-227)
- Replacement of original windows on east area of main building and throughout the annex
