Text Box: COLLEGE BOUND SENIORS:
Make sure you have applied to all of the colleges your are interested in attending this fall. If you have not applied to the colleges of your choice, it’s not too late, but you should do so as soon as possible. Remember, you cannot apply for college-sponsored scholarships or financial aid from a college until you have applied to that school. You should be spending the rest of your senior year applying for scholarships and financial aid.

“Indirect” costs for things like books, supplies, personal expenses, and transportation can differ significantly from a college’s estimates, depending on factors such as your lifestyle or major. Don’t get caught by surprise. Think about ways you can keep your expenses low, then create a reasonable budget for yourself and stick to it. Here are some tips to keep in mind:

Buy used books rather than new ones
Look for inexpensive student airfares, and avoid extra trips to and from school
Pay your credit card balance in full each month
Some courses, such as science labs and studio art, require additional fees and supplies—be sure to factor this into your budget

A final transcript must be sent in June to the college of your choice. It will include your 8th semester grades and proof of graduation.
You MUST fill out a “FINAL TRANSCRIPT” request form indicating which college(s) you want to receive a copy of your final transcript. Remember, even though you have been accepted to a college, your admission process will not be complete until the college has a copy of your “final” transcript. “Final Transcript” request forms are available in the Counselors’ Office. Completed forms should be turned in to Mrs. Bucher in the Counselors’ Office.
