School Login

IGPro Icon
  1. Double-click on the InteGrade Pro icon on your desktop (shown at right).
  2. If you've never created a gradebook, make sure the "Create a new gradebook" option is selected and then follow the Creating a New Gradebook instructions below.
  3. If you've already created a gradebook, select the "Open a gradebook on a server" option and then follow the Opening an Existing Gradebook instructions below.
  4. Click OK.

Creating a New Gradebook
  1. Click Next.
  2. Double-click the appropriate IGPRO icon in the left pane; different servers may have different icons, and some sites may have a dedicated IGPRO server.
  3. You should then see a brief Establishing connection dialog and then a screen for UserID and Password. (See Login Errors below if you receive login errors.)
  4. Your UserID and password will be provided by Dr. Layman. Different years have seen different formats; your UserID may be the name of your site followed by your last name, e.g. bhsdoe, or it could be more like your network login username.
  5. Your initial password might be a simple default password, or could be a series of short words separated by dashes. You may need to enter the password in lowercase. You'll be forced to change that initial password later (see Changing Your Password).
  6. Enter your UserID and Password and click OK.
  7. - there will be a pause -

  8. After the window changes to show your User Name in a bar near its top, you will create a new "File Name" for the gradebook. Please use a filename like bhsdoe0506 or jdoe0506 (your username immediately followed by 0506) so that district personnel can identify your gradebook.
  9. The window will change to show your teacher code and name and the school year. Click Next.
  10. You can them customize your name and the symbol used for incompletes for various reports; then click Save.
  11. - there will be a pause as the gradebook is created and loads student data from SASI -

  12. You are now in your new gradebook.

Opening an Existing Gradebook
  1. Double-click the appropriate IGPRO icon in the left pane; different servers have different icons, and some sites have a dedicated IGPRO server.
  2. You should then see a brief "Establishing connection" dialog and then a screen for UserID and Password. Your UserID may be your site followed by your last name, e.g. bhsdoe, or might resemble your network username. (See Login Errors below if you receive login errors.)
  3. Enter your UserID and Password and click OK.
  4. - there will be a pause -

  5. You will then see in the right pane any gradebooks you have already created. Double-click on the appropriate gradebook (e.g. bhsdoe0506.gbf), or click once and then click Open.
  6. - there will be a pause as it downloads the book -

  7. Click OK, then OK again.
  8. You are now in your gradebook.

Login Errors

If you cannot connect to the gradebook server, first make sure you are logged into the network. If you can't successfully send and receive email, you are probably not logged into the network and you'll have trouble accessing the gradebook server too.
