ParentCONNECT: Teacher Responsibilities

Information teachers enter into the InteGrade Pro gradebook will automatically become available in ParentCONNECTxp. Early each morning, the ParentCONNECT server updates itself, using data from the IGPro gradebook and the SASI student information servers. That "snapshot" of the information is what parents can view.

The teacher needs to enter student grades in InteGrade Pro as he or she would normally do. Not all teachers use InteGrade Pro. ParentCONNECTxp will not show any grades for such teachers.

Here are some tips to make ParentCONNECTxp work better for all concerned:

  • Use obvious names for student tasks. Avoid obscure abbreviations a parent would not understand.
  • Enter the assigned date and the due date each time you create a task. ParentCONNECTxp uses that information to sort student assignments and grades. See the Creating a new task instructions in the IGPro FAQ for details.
  • If you enter notations in IGPro about a student or an individual score on a task, be careful to keep them obvious and appropriate. These notations are visible in ParentCONNECTxp.
