Bartlesville teachers should direct their questions on CLASSxp to the district's Supervisor of Instruction Technology, Rhonda Layman, at laymanrl@bps-ok.org

Added or Dropped Students

Background

CLASSxp automatically displays the names of new students entering a class when you first open the class. You must acknowledge any new students before they can appear on your seating chart. Likewise, CLASSxp displays the names of students leaving a class when you first open the class.

Note: At the beginning of the school year, there can be many schedule changes. Every time a student has a schedule change, teachers will need to either acknowledge the newly enrolled student or the dropped student. The following describes both procedures.

Directions
  1. Open a class. The system will display a window with all newly enrolled students for that class if any exists (or newly dropped students if any exists).
  2. To acknowledge a newly enrolled student and add them to your seating chart, click to select the name of an added student then drag and drop that student onto an available seat in the seating chart. (Note that you may need to select the name, wait a moment for a box to appear around it, and only then try to drag the name over.) The system marks the student name with a dot and adds the student to the Students in Chart section of the Student List (click here to see an example Student List window). Then click Save.

  3. Add/drop window

  4. To acknowledge dropped students, click the names of all dropped students. The system marks the students with a dot. When you close the window by clicking Save, the system removes them from the Student List and from the seating chart.

  5. Add/drop window
