- Lyon Field Construction
The grass turf of Custer Field is being removed for the installation of the artificial turf of Ted Lyon Field. The school board awarded a $647,705 bid to Sportexe for the installation of Momentum 41 Artificial Turf. The contract calls for the turf to be installed in time for the beginning of the football season.
- Interior Painting
The classrooms in the main building, annex and stadium are being repainted over the summer. The color scheme dating back to 1995 of three light blue walls and a darker blue window wall is being changed to three beige walls and an accent wall that varies in color. The accent wall will be green on the first floor, blue on the second floor, and purple in the stadium. - Remaining Phase Four Work
The remaining work from the original 2001 Building on Excellence project includes installing wood tops and sides on the shelving in the new library, LCD projectors and screens for the technology area and the conference room, and reworking the alleyway between the main building and stadium, which is still a muddy mess. - Future Bond Work
The 2007 bond issue will eventually fund additional renovations in the 2010-2013 timeframe:
- Replacement of HVAC systems in central portion of main building (office areas, former library, rooms 220-227)
- Replacement of original windows on east area of main building and throughout the annex
- Replacement of student lockers
