  Turf Bid Awarded
  According to bartlesvilleradio.com:

  The Bartlesville School Board awarded a bid Thursday morning for turf to be installed on Ted Lyon Field at Custer Stadium. The board voted unanimously to award the bid to Sportexe in the amount of $647,705. The firm will install Momentum 41 Synthetic Turf with work expected to start the day after graduation. The contract calls for the turf to be installed in time for the beginning of football season.

  Lyon Field
  According to bartlesvilleradio.com:

  Bartlesville School board accepted a $650,000 donation from the Lyon Foundation during its meeting Monday night. The funds will be used to pay for the installation of an artificial turf at Custer Stadium. In exchange the board voted to name the high school football field the E. H. "Ted" Lyon Field at Custer Stadium. Superintendent Dr. Gary Quinn told the board the artificial surface can be used by not only the football team but also the marching band, soccer team, and grade school organizations. The board plans to go out for bids so that work can start on the project the day after graduation in order for the surface to be ready for football in the fall.

  Phase Three: Field House
  The acoustic treatments for the Field House will be installed after the last home basketball game on February 12, and completed by the start of the Lonestar Conference Tournament in March. The materials to accomplish the project are on hand and the contractor plans to suspend 8' by 4' acoustic panels from the ceiling to reduce the amount of echo in the gymnasium. The lighting contractor is also ready to upgrade equipment in the field house.
  
  Phase Four: Renovations
  The district is repainting the main building corridors and will be repairing damaged plaster in the second floor corridor. Plans for reworking the alleyway between the main building and the stadium are being developed by Randy Weatherly of Ambler Architects.

  Phase Four:  The library was dedicated at a public open house on Sunday, January 13 which also allowed the public to view the new connecting link to the south buildings. See updated snapshots of the:
  
  • Main foyer and its new library dedication plaque
  • New vending area off of main foyer
  • Library
  • Circulation desk
  • Alumni archive room
  • Librarian's office
  • Row of original auditorium chairs in new library
  • Connecting link exterior
  • Connecting link interior
  
  Remaining work for Phase Four includes:
  
  • Installing side and top cover plates on the library shelving
  • Installing projection screens and LCD projectors in library and conference room
  • Furniture for new conference room
  • Exterior finish on south side of annex-stadium link
  • Finalizing computer controls for the new HVAC system and achieving proper system balance
  • Reworking of alleyway between main building and stadium

  Which then wraps up all of the planned projects from the 2001 bond issue.

  Additional renovations planned for 2010-2013 include:
  
  • Replacement of HVAC systems in central portion of main building (office areas, former library, rooms 220-227)
  • Replacement of original windows on east area of main building and throughout the annex
  • Replacement of student lockers

  These last projects will be funded by the 2007 bond issue.
