Phase Two - Science: There is a new snapshot showing the progress on the exterior walls, and the exterior and interior slideshows have been updated. Broadband visitors can enjoy updated PixAround views from the alleyway and from the northwest lot.

Phase Two - Fine Arts: Broadband visitors can view an updated PixAround from midway along 18th Street.
Phase Two - Science: A snapshot of the first floor corridor has been added, and broadband visitors can view PixAround views of both the first floor and second floor corridor areas.

Phase Two - Science: The science wing interior slideshow has been updated. Broadband visitors can enjoy new PixAround viewpoints in the first floor corridor, the AP Biology/Anatomy lab, and the Physics lab.

Phase Two - Science: While the masonry walls are being constructed, the new wing is shrouded in Visqueen. Broadband visitors can enjoy updated PixAround views from the roof and from the northwest lot.
Phase Two - Fine Arts: The west facade is firming up, and there is an updated PixAround from 18th and Hillcrest.

Phase One: Broadband visitors can observe recent changes along Shawnee with updated PixArounds from Shawnee near Custer Field and from 18th and Shawnee.
Phase Two - Fine Arts: There are new snapshots of the interior masonry work in the visual arts area, the drama area, and an overall view. Broadband visitors can enjoy updated PixArounds from midway along 18th Street and from the northwest corner.
Phase Two - Science: There is a snapshot of the new stairs which also shows the steel's spray-on fireproofing. Broadband visitors can view an updated alleyway PixAround, and there is an update to the exterior slideshow.

Phase One: The removal of trees along the west side of Shawnee Avenue has made the Phase One floodplain improvements much more visible from afar. Broadband visitors can enjoy an updated pressbox PixAround view.
Phase Two - Science: The roofing is in progress, as seen in a new snapshot. Broadband visitors can enjoy an updated rooftop PixAround view. The interior slideshow has also been updated.

Phase One - Haley Lab: The Haley Lab pond is quite beautiful this fall. The New Haley Lab Page has been updated with a new snapshot, and broadband visitors can enjoy an updated Pond Area PixAround.
Phase Two - Fine Arts: The masonry walls are progressing nicely, and there a new snapshot showing how the outer perimeter is going up. Broadband visitors can enjoy updated PixArounds from the northwest corner of the center, from 18th Street and Crestview, and from 18th Street and Hillcrest.

Phase Two - Science: The steel on the bottom floor is being fireproofed, the second floor concrete has been poured, and the roof is being installed. The interior slideshow shows the progress.

Phase Two - Science Wing: The roof decking and stairs are up, and can be viewed in a new snapshot. Broadband visitors can enjoy updated PixArounds from the alleyway and from the northwest corner. The science wing slideshow has also been updated, and has an improved interface.
Phase Two - Fine Arts: The masonry walls are going up, and the PixArounds have been updated from the northwest corner, from 18th and Hillcrest, and from midway along 18th Street. There is a new snapshot showing the progress on the orchestra pit.

Phase Two - Science Wing: There are snapshots of the interiors of both floors of the science wing. Broadband visitors can enjoy an updated PixAround from atop the main building.
Phase Two - Fine Arts: Concrete blocks have been piled up for masonry work. Broadband visitors can enjoy fresh PixArounds from the northwest corner of the center, from 18th Street and Crestview, and from 18th Street and Hillcrest.
Phase Two - Interior Design: The burnished block has been selected which will line the corridors of the Science Wing and the lobby, corridors, and portions of the auditorium in the Fine Arts Center. The photos area has a new interior design page with all of the details.
- 9/28/2002:
Phase Two - Science Wing: Steel erection continues, with some decking and girders now in place. There are fresh snapshots taken from the northwest corner of campus and from the back alley. Broadband visitors can enjoy new PixArounds from the same locations: the alleyway and northwest corner. The science wing slideshow has also been updated.
- 9/20/2002:
Power Failure: The electrical service to the BHS campus was interrupted during the afternoon of Friday, September 20 when a backhoe cut through the feeder line. Thankfully no injuries were reported. Classes were cancelled for the remainder of the day, but power was restored in time for the first home football game of the season.
- 9/18/2002:
Phase Two - Science Wing: Steel erection has begun, as can be seen in a new snapshot. All three PixAround Viewpoints for the science wing have been updated: looking west from the alleyway, looking north from atop the main building, and looking southeast from the northeast corner of the campus. The science wing slideshow has also been updated.
Phase Two - Fine Arts: The concrete slabs for the stagecraft and drama/speech rooms have been poured, and the orchestra pit greatly enlarged. The PixAround Viewpoint from 18th and Hillcrest has been updated.

Phase Two - Science Wing: The foundation has been filled up with dirt, so underslab plumbing and steel erection can begin soon.

Phase Two - Fine Arts: Foundation work continues, and there are new snapshots of the dig for the orchestra pit and the choir and band room concrete slabs. Broadband visitors can enjoy a new PixAround Viewpoint at the northwest corner of the new fine arts center, and a view from 18th Street and Crestview. The view from 18th Street and Hillcrest has also been updated.

Phase Two - Science: The filling and packing of dirt in the foundation level nears completion. There is a snapshot of the work underway, and broadband visitors can view an update of the PixAround view from the roof.

Phase One: Final Phase One snapshots of the front parking and athletes on the new practice fields are available. Broadband visitors can view a final PixAround of the front lawn and a new PixAround from the pressbox.
Phase Two - Science: The filling and packing of dirt in the foundation level has begun. Broadband visitors can view an update of the PixAround view from the roof, and a QuickTime movie of a remote-control compactor.
- 8/11/2002:
Phase One: Phase One is almost complete - the parking areas are ready for use, the practice fields are in, and the largest remaining project is the completion of the pedestrian walkway across the west side of Shawnee Avenue. There is an image of the east parking area before, during, and after construction. Broadband visitors can see view a PixAround of the completed baseball field. There are also updated PixArounds of the east parking lot and athletic fields from 18th and Shawnee and from Shawnee near Custer Field.
Phase Two - Fine Arts: The foundation is underway. There is a new snapshot of the area, and broadband visitors can view an update of the PixAround view from 18th near Crestview.

Phase One - Softball Field: Broadband visitors can view a PixAround of the almost-completed softball field.
Phase One - Haley Lab: There is an update on the Haley Environmental Lab; there is a new PixAround of the regraded pond.

Phase One - Parking: There are new snapshots of the front parking with a view to the north and a view to the south. Broadband visitors can view an update of the front lawn PixAround.
Phase Two - Science Wing: Broadband visitors can view an update of the PixAround view from the roof.

Phase One - Parking: The front parking asphalt is done and the spaces have been striped. So hopefully that area will be ready for senior registration on August 5. Broadband visitors can view a close-up of the north end of that area with an updated PixAround from 16th and Hillcrest. The asphalt lay-down in the east parking lot can be seen with updated PixArounds from 18th and Shawnee and from Shawnee near Custer Field.
Phase Two - Science Wing: All of the foundation walls have been poured. Broadband visitors can view this week's update of the alleyway PixAround.

Phase One - Parking: Asphalt is being laid down in both of the new parking areas. Broadband visitors can view an updated PixAround from 18th and Hillcrest.

Phase Two - Science Wing: There is a new snapshot of the science wing foundation as viewed from the northwest. Broadband visitors can also view an updated PixAround view from the alleyway, showing how the pouring of the foundation walls is nearly complete.

Phase One - Front Parking: The curbing for the front parking lots is essentially completed, as seen in a new snapshot. Broadband visitors can view an updated PixAround image of the front lawn.
Phase Two - Science Wing: There is a snapshot of concrete being poured to form the base walls. Broadband visitors can view an updated PixAround view from the roof.
- 7/14/2002:
Phase One - Sod: The football and soccer practice fields have finally received sod (see sod snapshot), which is being watered in. The big parking lot east of Shawnee still lacks asphalt, but the curbing, driveways, and sidewalks are almost finished. Visitors with broadband connections can view updated PixAround images for the 18th Street and Shawnee Avenue and Shawnee near Custer Field viewpoints.
Phase Two - Science Wing: Last week there was a snapshot of the west forms of the science wing foundation. This week, you can view an updated snapshot showing the concrete recently poured into those forms. Broadband visitors can also view an updated PixAround view from the alleyway, showing the forms for the new walls on the east side.
- 7/9/2002:
Phase One - Front Parking: The curbs and sidewalks for the front parking lot are being poured. A fresh front lawn PixAround image is ready for visitors with broadband connections.
Phase Two - Science Wing: An overhead snapshot of the science wing has been added, and broadband visitors can enjoy a new overhead science wing PixAround image.
PixAround Enhancement: The image selection pages for each PixAround viewpoint have been enhanced with an automatic preview window that shows part of the image when a mouse is over a given picture link.
- 7/7/2002:
Phase Two - Science Wing: The wooden forms for the concrete side walls of the foundation are being built and the tall concrete footings have been freed from their forms. There are snapshots of the work looking from the east and from the northwest. Broadband visitors can view an updated PixAround view from the alleyway. And you can view a slideshow of the science wing.
