  • 12/23/04:
    Phase Three - Library/Link:  Unfortunately the bids on the new library/media center and connecting link were far too few and far too high. In January a new approach for those portions of the project will be developed.

  • 12/12/04:
    Phase Three - Field House:  Dirt work continues on the new field house. The project has suffered rain delays. There is snapshot of the work and broadband visitors can enjoy an updated PixAround view from atop the pressbox.

  • 10/23/04:
    Phase Three - Field House:  Dirt work has begun on the site of the new field house. Broadband visitors can enjoy new PixAround Views from atop the pressbox, from midway along 18th Street, and from the northeast corner and the southeast corner of the construction area.

  • 10/14/04:
    Phase Three - Field House:  Tuesday October 12 brought the groundbreaking ceremony for the new field house. 18th Street has been closed off, the construction trailer is on site, and we're ready to go.


  • 9/26/2004:
    Phase Three - Field House:  The Board of Education has awarded a $5.5 million bid for the construction of the new Field House to Rick Scott Construction Company, Inc. Rick Scott is based in Ponca City and has a branch office in Tulsa. The Board agreed to tap leftover contingency funds from Phases One and Two as well as a massive donation from ConocoPhillips to reach the $5.5 million level.

    Phase Three - Library:  The revised library floor plan has been posted. The project will go to bid soon.

    Phase Two - Fine Arts Finale:  The end of Phase Two was marked when over 1,000 people attended the Dedication and Open House of the new Fine Arts Center on September 19. There are photos and information about the event, which featured performances by students from each discipline and several distinguished alumni.
  • 9/6/2004:
    Phase Two - Fine Arts: There are a couple of snapshots of the stage with a Steinway piano and orchestra shell: an angled view and a straight shot from the balcony. There is also a snapshot of the south facade. The auditorium slideshow has received its final update. Broadband visitors can enjoy final views from the auditorium stage and the auditorium balcony. There are also final PixAround views of the choir room, the orchestra room, the computer lab, the visual arts room, and the drama room.
  • 8/22/04:
    Phase Three - Field House:  The Field House plans are now out for bid. The Lower Level Floorplan and the Upper Level Floorplan have been posted.
  • 8/21/2004:
    Phase Two - Fine Arts: Enjoy a snapshot from the first student assembly. Broadband visitors can view a PixAround view of the same event.
  • 8/2/2004:
    Phase Two - Fine Arts: The instructors are busily setting up their new classrooms. Broadband visitors can enjoy updated views of the choir room, the band room, the orchestra room, the art room, and the drama room. For comparison, PixAround views of the old choir room, the old band room, and the old art room have also been posted.
  • 7/10/04:
    Phase Two - Fine Arts:
    The building is almost complete and instructors are moving in their equipment and furnishings. The exterior slideshow has been updated. Broadband visitors can enjoy final PixAround views taken from 18th and Hillcrest, from 18th and Crestview, from midway along 18th Street, and from atop the pressbox.

    Phase Three - Field House & Library: Three PixAround views for this project have been activated. Broadband visitors can view the area prior to construction from midway along 18th Street, from the alleyway, and from atop the pressbox.
