The west end of the old auditorium balcony is being renovated into a conference room. The old projection booth will remain as a storage closet. At Granger Meador's urging, the east end was turned into a storage room and a hallway for handicapped access a decade ago - the hallway was dubbed the "Quantum Tunnel" because it led from the 2nd floor directly to the top floor of the annex, which back then was called the 5th floor. That area is being reworked into a permanent corridor.
The balcony floor has been built up on metal frames and a new concrete deck poured to provide a level surface.
