  Phase Four: Renovations
  The district is repainting the main building corridors and will be repairing damaged plaster in the second floor corridor. Plans for reworking the alleyway between the main building and the stadium are being developed by Randy Weatherly of Ambler Architects.

  Phase Four:  The library was dedicated at a public open house on Sunday, January 13 which also allowed the public to view the new connecting link to the south buildings. See updated snapshots of the:

  Remaining work for Phase Four includes:
  
  • Installing side and top cover plates on the library shelving
  • Installing projection screens and LCD projectors in library and conference room
  • Furniture for new conference room
  • Exterior finish on south side of annex-stadium link
  • Finalizing computer controls for the new HVAC system and achieving proper system balance
  • Reworking of alleyway between main building and stadium

The final phase of the project was reduced in scale after unacceptably high bids. The surviving projects are:

• Remodel 1939 auditorium and an adjacent classroom into a new library/media center & expand and renovate the first floor restrooms in the main building
• Demolish the existing skybridge and replace it with a two-story structure to provide handicapped access to the bottom two floors of the annex and the middle floor of the stadium; construct a one-story enclosed corridor connecting that structure to the 1939 field house and the new field house and fine arts center
• Renovate the heating and air conditioning systems in the 1954 stadium, 1958 annex, and classroom areas of the 1939 main building.

Original budgeting for construction, furnishings, and soft costs:
$5 million for school-wide improvements (21% of the project funding; some central plant functions already built in Phase Two; $4,178,254 remains for additional renovations); $1.3 million for library/media center (5% of the project funding); estimates later revised due to increased construction costs

Library Renovation and Connecting Link/Bridge Projects bid awarded 8/1/2006 to Gorman Construction of Bartlesville for $3,088,000

Climate control (HVAC) bid awarded to Shiloh Enterprises of Edmond, OK for $3,037,000
