Bartlesville High School:
Building on Excellence

Phase Four: Library, Link, Renovations

Old Auditorium Becomes New Library,
Prior to Renovation

This pre-renovation photo of the 1939 auditorium was taken back in 2003. This space will become an expanded library/media center. The sloping floor will be levelled - the adjacent main foyer is already at stage level. One corner, from right entrance door below the balcony over to the first drawn wall curtain, will become a glass-walled corridor leading from the main foyer to the middle floor of the annex. The next two drawn wall curtains are where openings will be made into a former annex drama classroom, currently being used as a foreign language office and Spanish classroom. The old exterior entrance on that same wall becomes a display case. The stage becomes a computer area. One of the curving green rooms off the stage becomes an office, while the other becomes an alumni room.

Plans also call for the balcony to be renovated into an improved access to the top floor of the annex, and possibly a conference room.
