Viewpoint MapThis photo was taken on May 4, 2002, about thirteen weeks after the groundbreaking ceremony for phase one. You are looking east near the intersection of 18th Street and Shawnee Avenue. You can see the light poles lying on their concrete bases, the backstops for the softball and baseball fields, and the gravel base of the parking lot. The break in the black plastic fencing is where one of the parking lot driveways will be. There is a mound of rebar there now, the remains of the old sewer lift station. A concrete cap over that area will become part of the parking lot driveway.
