Viewpoint MapThis photo was taken on July 14, 2002, about twenty-three weeks after the groundbreaking ceremony for phase one. You are looking east near the intersection of 18th Street and Shawnee Avenue. The sod has been installed for the two football/soccer practice fields, and the fencing and infields for the baseball and softball fields are finished. Most of the concrete work is done, including curbing, driveways, and sidewalks.

Still to come are asphalt, reconfiguring the west and south sides of the Haley Lab pond, and building the pedestrian walkway across the west side of Shawnee.
