Groundbreaking

A groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of the project was held on May 20, 2002. District Superintendent Dr. Gary Quinn and School Board President Tom Carlisle made remarks. Participants included Bartlesville High School Principal Dr. Debi Boyles and members of the Board of Education, the Long Range Facilities Planning Committee, the Bond Issue Communication Committee, the Bond Issue Fine Arts and Science Subcommittees, the BHS choir, and others.

The ceremony began on the south end of campus at the site of the new Fine Arts Center. After the opening remarks, the BHS choir sang the Alma Mater. The group then moved to the north of the main building and broke ground for the new Science Wing.
