Seventy Weeks Into Construction

This photo was taken after 70 weeks of construction on September 28, 2003. You are standing in the lower level of the lobby of the Fine Arts Center.
Many lobby walls now have a coat of paint above the burnished block. All of the walls are closed in except for the south entrance. The nearby wall with exposed metal studs will eventually have wood panels above its burnished block wainscot. The section of wall where you see gypsum board will someday become an entrance into the new field house.
