Twenty-eight Weeks Into Construction

This photo was taken on December 6, 2002 near the end of the twenty-eighth week of construction. You are looking out over the north lawn.
The roof is complete except for flashing, but its surface is hidden by a white blanket of snow. The sides of the wing are encased in Visqueen to keep the area warmer for the workers and the concrete block mortar. Through the gap in the plastic you can see some concrete blocks stacked on the second floor.
