Bartlesville High School:
Building on Excellence

Phase Two: Science Wing

West View from Alley,
Forty-Seven Weeks Into Construction

Viewpoint Map This photo was taken after the forty-seventh week of phase two on April 20, 2003. You are looking generally west from the alley.

The EIFS (Exterior Insulation and Finish System from Dryvit) is finished on the west side of the building, and underway on the north. The finish is sculpted with insets to break up the walls into panels, since the new building lacks the multiple bands of windows seen in the 1939 structure. There is also a triple horizontal inset around the lower level in the Streamline Art Deco style. With the scaffolding removed, you can see the new glass curtain wall of the stairway.
