Thirty-Eight Weeks Into Construction

This photo was taken after 38 weeks of construction on February 15, 2003. You are standing in the area that will be the stage in the new auditorium.
The steel structure and roof decking are going up. The large beam across the open area (to the east) will support the balcony. The beginnings of the orchestra pit are also visible to the east, but at your feet. The perimeter masonry walls you see are what will become the far side of a surrounding corridor which leads into the various fine arts classrooms.
