Auditorium Stage,
Forty-Four Weeks Into Construction

You can click and drag the image to look around, or click the gray buttons to zoom, spin, change the viewing mode, etc.

This photo was taken after 44 weeks of construction on March 29, 2003. You are standing in the area that will be the stage in the new auditorium.

Horizontal steel elements for the balcony are being installed. Low curving masonry walls are visible below the balcony, forming the east walls of the auditorium and partially blocking the view of the masonry elevator shaft. A short segment of masonry wall has been constructed to the south, almost entirely obscuring the view of the doorway into the drama room. To the west, the masonry back wall to the stage is being constructed. That wall separates the auditorium from the wraparound corridor.
