Forty-Nine Weeks Into Construction

This photo was taken after 49 weeks of construction on May 4, 2003. You are standing in the area that will be the stage in the new auditorium.
The concrete bases for some of the main floor raised seating have been poured. The steel for the entrances to the balcony is up - look for the curved steel above the side doorways. Structural steel is almost complete, and the high areas are being closed in with metal studs, gypsum board, and EIFS (exterior insulation finish system). The far lower floor areas to the northeast are also being sealed up.
