Eighty-One Weeks Into Construction

This photo was taken during the 81st week of construction on December 11, 2003. You are standing in the area that will be the stage in the new auditorium.
Some of the high scaffolding has been removed, while new scaffolding over the elevated seats on the lower level has been erected. Notice the gypsum board fascia going up around the balcony edge, and the rigging on the north end of the black-walled stage area. If you visit the balcony you'll be able to see the acoustic "clouds" mounted up near the roof of the auditorium.
