Library/Media Center Needs

Improvement: Relocate and quadruple the size of the library, allowing it to be a true media center.

Current problems: The current library space of 2,575 square feet is half the recommended size based on state standards. It is extremely crowded with computer work stations, and handicap access is difficult. Although BHS is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the library can barely seat the minimum seven percent of the student body set in the North Central standard. This seven percent of students could fit into the facility, but movement and learning would be impossible in such crowded conditions.

Crammed with books and computer workstations, the BHS library is half the size recommended by the State of Oklahoma and provides only limited access for handicapped students.
