WHERE CAN I ENROLL FOR AN ADULT BASIC EDUCATION CLASS?

  Answer:  Call the Adult Education office at 336-6560 to be assigned a class site. During your first class you will complete the necessary enrollment forms and begin assessments..
   
  WHEN CAN I ENROLL FOR AN ADULT BASIC EDUCATION CLASS?
  Answer:  Our class follows the Bartlesville Public Schools schedule and we have “open enrollment”, which means you can enroll anytime during the school year.  Some of our classes will be open during the summer.
   
  HOW LONG DO I NEED TO ATTEND AN ABE CLASS?
  Answer:   The amount of time a student spends in class varies. The student's level upon entry, goals set, and attendance determine his or her length of time in the program. It may take anywhere from two weeks to six months depending on the individual’s academic abilities.
   
  WHAT ARE THE CLASSES LIKE?
  Answer:   The classes are designed for the needs of adult learners. Classroom activities are directed by the teacher and Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) or Basic English Skills Test (BEST) test scores.  Books and other instructional aids are provided for the student in the classroom.
   
  HOW OLD MUST I BE TO ENTER THE ABE CLASS?
  Answer:    All 16- and 17-year old students must have a parental consent form signed and notarized by both their parents and the area High School principal before they can enter the class.  The forms are available at the Adult Learning Center.
