QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Care & Prevention of Athletic Injuries Course
  • Strong organizational, communications and motivation skills
  • Background experience in coaching the sport in a school setting
  • Strong knowledge of the sport’s fundamentals, rules, and strategies
  • The Principal may approve substitutions or alterations to the listed qualifications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

·        Equipment ordering, checkout and maintenance

·        Organization of Practice

·        Continued effort towards self improvement

·        Direction of assistants

·        Completion of reports and other athletic documents

·        Communicate with athletes, parents and the community

·        Build and maintain satisfactory relationships with opponents.

·        Cooperation with administration, officials and other sports programs

·        Proper conditioning of athletes for competition

·        Instruction of athletes in fundamental skills

·        Instills positive attitude in athletes

·        Motivates athletes to reach their potential

·          Encourages sportsmanship during competition

·          Other duties as assigned
