QUALIFICATIONS:
|
An
Associate Degree or 48 hrs of College credit or have passed the ParaPro Test
or the Oklahoma General Education Test (OGET). Specialized computer training or experience is
required. Experience working with groups of people is preferred. This job requires knowledge of appropriate
equipment, and applications, as well as appropriate verbal and writing
skills. This individual must possess a
valid Oklahoma driver’s license, be able
to walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, and lift up to 75 pounds. Employee must
be able to walk for 4 hours. Job
requires occasional bending/stooping/squatting/crouching/kneeling, climbing,
reaching above the shoulder and pushing/pulling. Job requires employee to use both hands for
repetitive actions involving simple/firm grasping and fine manipulation. Employee must possess hearing and speaking
abilities to monitor equipment and communicate with employees, students, and
parents. The Board of Education and
Superintendent may approve alternatives to the listed qualifications.
- Boots lab computers
up at the beginning of each day and shuts computers down at the end of
each day.
- Maintains use log
available for teacher reservations.
- Assists teachers and
students using the lab for instruction.
- Loads programs and
prepares lab as per teacher requests.
- Provides instruction
for teachers and students in proper use and care of labs and
equipment.
- Troubleshoots and
determines source of problems, corrects or notifies technology services
for assistance, and provides solutions for daily operating problems.
- Cleans and services
hardware; provides preventive maintenance.
- Maintains records of
lab use and produces regular reports of use for Principal.
- Supervises students
using lab during approved before and after school hours.
- Advises Technology
Services in regard to lab needs.
- Secures lab and
equipment appropriately for summer down time.
- Performs
other duties as assigned.
