QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED and Oklahoma Mechanical Journeyman with classification of Unlimited on AC/Heating and refrigeration.  Universal Refrigerant Reclaiming certification is preferred.  Must be able to work on assignment with minimum supervision.  Requires valid Driver’s License.  Department of Motor Vehicle records check will be requested annually.  Employee must possess hearing and speaking abilities to use and monitor equipment and communicate with employees, vendors and others.  Job requires working on unprotected heights; frequent bending/stooping, squatting/crouching, climbing/reaching and lifting up to 75 pounds.  The Board of Education and the Superintendent may approve appropriate and acceptable alternatives to the listed qualifications.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Installs, repairs and maintains heating and cooling equipment, including low press boilers, chillers and cooling towers.
  2. Installs, repairs and maintains refrigeration units.
  3. Removes and disposes of Refrigerants.
  4. Reads and uses blue prints and schematics.
  5. Maintains inventory supplies and parts.
  6. Responsible for written reports concerning work done including description of work and accounting for time and materials.
  7. Responsible for district vehicle
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.
