QUALIFICATIONS: |
High
School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience. Training or
experience not required. Individual
must stand and walk up to seven hours.
Job requires frequent bending/stooping, reaching above the shoulder and pushing and pulling. Job requires occasional
squatting/crouching, crawling/kneeling and climbing. Job requires continuous
carrying/lifting up to ten pounds and frequently up to fifty pounds to put
away grocery orders and move food items around the kitchen. Job requires employee to use both hands
for repetitive actions involving simple/firm grasping and fine
manipulation. Employee must possess
visual ability to read recipes, follow directions, cook, clean, serves and
fill line. Job requires uses of proximity
to machinery such as steamers, ovens, mixers, fryers, and slicers. Job
requires working in extreme temperatures.
The Board of Education and Superintendent may approve alternatives to
the listed qualifications. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1.
Assists
in quality food production following menus, production plans and standardized
recipes. 2.
Follows defined
standards of sanitation and safety as outlined by state and local
regulations. Follows HACCP procedures
and completes assigned HACCP documentation. 3.
Assists
to maintain a clean and safe work area. 4.
Assists
in the meal service. Fills and
refills serving line. Maintains clean and attractive serving area. Is responsive to the
needs of the customers. 5.
Assists
in the clean up and sanitation of production, service and dining areas. 6.
Promotes the
overall effectiveness of the kitchen by performing tasks and sharing
responsibilities of others during peak work load. 7.
Performs
other duties as assigned. |
