November 2009
G-TIP (Gifted
and Talented Individual Plan)
G-TIPs were distributed during October parent
conferences. The purpose of the G-TIP is
to provide a plan for gifted students.
The plan shows student’s strengths and lists opportunities for
enrichment, differentiation and possible acceleration. Classroom teachers will be utilizing these
plans throughout the school year to ensure the best possible learning
experience for our students.
Project Progress
GATE
5th graders will be very busy during the month
of November creating their Explorer Theme Park projects. Students are encouraged to bring materials
from home to help create their theme park model. We will have basic supplies available at
GATE: glue, markers, paper, poster
board, construction paper, and a few other odds and ends.
GATE
4th graders are working on a project of their
choice through Renzulli. Projects vary
from creating a robot to writing a song.
Students are encouraged to bring materials from home to help create
their project. We will have basic
supplies available at GATE: glue,
markers, paper, poster board, construction paper, and a few other odds and
ends. Students have already been busy working on their projects and will finish
them in November. Class presentations
will be November 18th and continue after Thanksgiving if
needed.
