Parents,

The GATE Science Fair will be held at Wayside School on February 23^rd from 5:00-6:00 p.m. All Fifth Grade GATE students are required to participate in the fair. Students may work alone or two in a group. Although we will be studying the scientific method during GATE classes, the student science fair project will be a home project that will be brought to GATE completed ready to present to their peers on February 22^nd or February 23^rd. The science fair projects will help students prepare for the Bartlesville District Science Fair on March 5^th at the ConocoPhillips Technology Center, formerly known as the Research Center.

Students who would like to participate in the Bartlesville District Science Fair must complete the entry form and have it posted marked by February 19^th. The link for the district science fair entry form and rules can be found at www.bps-ok.org/gate. The GATE website also has a few links that can help with project ideas. Students should remember to follow the steps to the scientific method on their project. The display boards for their projects are found at Hobby Lobby or Staples.
