Bartlesville Public Schools selects new soccer coach

The Board of Education for Bartlesville Public Schools will take action this month on hiring Anthony Tucker to lead the Bruin soccer program. Tucker is a graduate of Bartlesville High School, Rogers State University, and has a master’s degree from Northeastern State University. He has high school coaching experience at Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville and as an assistant for the Lady Bruins.

Born and raised in Bartlesville, Tucker played four years for the varsity Bruins soccer team. He was a member of the nationally ranked Tulsa Soccer Club 89 boys soccer team. During his time with TSC, Tucker played for both former New York Cosmos defender Keith Eddy and current club director Jim Tindell.

As a collegiate athlete, Tucker was a regular starter for Independence Community College. He then signed with NCAA Division II, Delta State University in Mississippi prior to returning to Oklahoma to finish his bachelor’s degree in business administration at Rogers State University in Claremore. In 2016, Tucker earned a Master of Science degree in Higher Education Leadership from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.

Tucker is married to the former Megan Lytle, now Dr. Megan Tucker O.D., and resides in Bartlesville.
