On Wednesday, October 11, 2017, the BHS Freshman Academy held a Walk-a-Thon and CPR training. The freshman class was divided into two groups with one group starting with CPR and the other group starting with the Walk-a-Thon.  After one hour and 45 minutes, they switched. The CPR training allowed for students to meet a state graduation requirement.

The students of the Freshman Academy Leadership Council voted to have the Walk-a-Thon benefit the Agape Mission.  The Walk-a-Thon raised $2730.65 for the mission.

Mr. Demaray’s Advisory class raised the most money as a class. They raised $428. They will receive a pizza party for their efforts. In addition, two freshman students raised over $200 each.

Below are the final results from the Walk-a-Thon:

  • 16 students walked 20 laps (5 miles)
  • 14 students walked 21 laps (5.25 miles)
  • 12 students walked 22 laps (5.5 miles)
