Bruins Tailgate Rally on 9/22

The popular annual Main Street Bartlesville tailgate rally is bigger than ever this year with plans underway to combine the downtown celebration with Homecoming Parade 2016. 

Main Street Bartlesville now is accepting applicants for sponsorship of the Sept. 22 event, along with registering businesses, nonprofits, churches and school organizations who want to have tailgating booths at the party. A major pep rally supporting the Bartlesville Bruins, this year’s event runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. beginning with the annual Homecoming Parade of floats through downtown, which will end off at the tailgate party set up at Dewey Avenue and Frank Phillips Boulevard. Tailgate booths will offer all manner of games, Bruin merchandise and food.

Tailgate booth fees are $50 with funds going to Main Street Bartlesville. Those who sell food or items at the event will keep 80 percent of their proceeds, with 10 percent going to Main Street and 10 percent going as a donation to Bruin programs, such as the football, band or spirit squads. 

Sponsorship levels are:
  • $100 – which includes company recognition in selection promotional materials and at advertisement at the rally
  • $250 – which includes a tailgate space and advertising in promotional materials
  • $500 – which includes the addition of a company banner on the stage and opportunity for a business representative to speak at the rally
  • $600 – which includes all lower level benefits along with having company logo on the tailgate rally billboard
