Over 140 district staff members signed up for the 2018 Run the Streets 8k at Woolaroc on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Superintendent Chuck McCauley and his wife, Jennifer, initially pledged $1,000 toward helping district staff members register for the event for only the $15 cost of the shirt.  The enthusiasm for the event was such that the McCauleys doubled their pledge to $2,000 so that 141 staff members could participate. The event had a record-setting 564 registrants overall.

Woodrow Wilson Elementary School won a friendly competition among district sites for the most registrants, with 29 of its staff members signed up.

The event supported the Run the Streets mentoring program for area youth, including the inaugural season of the Bruins on the Run program sponsored by the Bartlesville Public Schools Foundation.

The cool fall weather and beautiful surroundings were perfect for the occasion. Thanks to everyone who helped make the event a great success!
