We are happy to be celebrating Education Support Personnel Week during the second week of October this year. Governor Fallin issued a proclamation to that effect, and the district is celebrating its over 300 valuable support employees who are crucial to daily operations.

Support employees include the bus drivers and mechanics, cafeteria workers, secretaries, maintenance workers, classroom paraprofessionals, computer technicians, and more. Without these employees, many of the district's 6,000 students would be without transportation to and from school and would not receive nourishing food. Children's special needs would not be met, instructional and administrative technologies would not work, and the buildings would not be suitable environments.

The district's 400 teachers and 20 administrators rely heavily on these dedicated fellow employees to keep the classrooms and sites equipped and operational. They are crucial to fulfilling the district's vision of educating and enriching lives, helping make that happen both inside and outside of the classroom. Teamwork makes the dream work.

The district athletics department is recognizing support employees by providing free admission to them, their spouses, and their minor children at the home football game against Sapulpa on Friday, October 13. The support employee can use his or her district ID badge for entry and obtain a coupon for a spouse and minor children at the work site.

Events at school sites include luncheons at various sites, 'Adopt a Support Staff Member' programs at some sites where certified staff or classes do something special for them, and other heartfelt recognitions of their contributions.

The district also appreciates the employees of Source One, the YMCA, and Cole's Lawn Service who also work in and around the schools, keeping the schools clean, their grounds trimmed, and providing after-school care for children.

The dedication of all of these employees is impressive, and their ranks include the folks who are usually the first to arrive and last to leave each day. Please let them know you appreciate their contributions.
Support Week

All district classified staff will receive FREE ADMISSION to the home football game on Friday, October 13, 2017 vs. Sapulpa at 7 p.m. by showing their ID badge at a pass gate, and can obtain coupons at their work site for free admission for their spouses and minor children.

THANK YOU for your service!
