Jane Phillips Sight Words Celebration

Jane Phillips Elementary School hosted a Sight Word Celebration on May 10, 2016 for its amazing readers in Pre-Kindergarten through Second Grade. 183 students participated in the Hollywood Movie Premiere at Eagle Theater. Students worked on their sight words throughout the school year with help from volunteers from First Church

Pre-K students were required to learn 10 sight words, Kindergarten students 50 sight words, 1st grade students 200 sight words and 2nd grade students 300 sight words. An elite invitation was awarded to each student. Students were greeted by the paparazzi and cheering fans while walking the red carpet. A premiere showing of a new film was shown, complete with treats for all.
