At the Oklahoma City fairgrounds this weekend, Bartlesville High School junior Laif Jones won the state championship in wrestling in the 120 lb class, securing the first state title for Bartlesville since the early 2010s. His season record was 40-3.

Coach Josh Pulsifer told Mike Tupa of the Examiner-Enterprise, “I’m super proud Laif is my first state champion as a head coach. The fact that he was able to remain unbeaten and not allow a point is a real testament to his skill and grit.”

Corwin Strachan took 3rd place in the 113-lb division at state, where David Boucher, Brayden Strachan, and Austin Manley also competed.
