Linthacum and Imhoff designated as site administrators

The Bartlesville Board of Education approved changes in leadership at three of its schools at its meeting on Monday, April 16, 2018. Angie Linthacum will become the new Principal at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in 2018-19, with Tammie Krause moving from that position to become the Principal at Richard Kane Elementary School. In March, Kane’s current principal, Shelly White, shared her decision to become an Instructional Coach at Hoover Elementary School next school year. Also, Shawn Imhoff will replace Ariel Ortega as the Assistant Principal at Central Middle School in 2018-19, since Mr. Ortega and his family will be moving to Texas this summer.

Angie Linthacum has worked in the district since 2003. She held a variety of teaching positions at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School through 2014 when she became the coordinator of the English Language Development program. She has most recently served as the Teacher Specialist for Supplemental Services at the Education Service Center. Before her time in Bartlesville, Angie taught English as a Second Language to first graders in Houston. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with Honors from the University of Houston in 1993 and her master’s degree in Educational Administration with High Honors from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2011.

Shawn Imhoff, who will become the Assistant Principal at Central, comes to the district from a middle school counseling position in Independence, Kansas. Prior to that, she served as a counselor at Bartlesville’s Jane Phillips Elementary School in 2016-17, as a middle school principal in Nowata from 2012-2016, and in a variety of teaching and administrative positions in Dewey from 1994-2012. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Special Education from East Central University in 1992 and her master’s degree in elementary and middle school counseling from East Central in 1995, with recent coursework in Educational Leadership from there in 2014-15.
