The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) will be given at Bartlesville High School on October 11, 2017.  The test measures reading, writing and language, and math skills that students need for college and careers.

Students must register by September 21 in the BHS Counseling Office at 1700 Hillcrest Drive. The non-refundable cost is $16, which must be paid by check (payable to BHS) or cash at the time of registration.  Any grade level student may take the PSAT/NMSQT; however, ONLY qualified 11th graders are eligible for the National Merit Scholarship competition.  Non-BHS students may also register for the exam.

On the same day, all sophomores at BHS will be taking the PreACT at no cost. However, some 10th graders may opt to pay to take the PSAT instead since high-achieving students who are good test takers are good candidates to take the PSAT early as a "practice run" before taking the PSAT as a junior.
