BHS Theatre presents Puffs, or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic by Matt Cox in three performances at the Fine Arts Center at Bartlesville High School:

  • Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 2 p.m.

For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs...who just happened to be there too. It is a tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.

Puffs is a true underdog story about Wayne Hopkins, a boy who wished to be the hero of his own story, not just a side character. While at magic school, he meets the Puffs, including Cedric Diggory. They navigate their way through school being the lamest house and strive to earn third place in the House Cup though the odds are stacked against them. This is an action-packed comedy with a lot of heart and plenty of magic.

This production is one of the largest BHS Theatre plays in recent history with a cast of 19 and a crew of 15. For half of the company, this is their first experience on stage or behind the scenes.

BHS Theatre will be presenting the high school edition of the play, which has some mild mature themes and is roughly equivalent to a PG movie.

Tickets will be $5 presale and $10 at the door. Presale tickets can be purchased from any acting student at BHS or from sponsor Mrs. Roddy. Event parking is south of the Fine Arts Center off 18th Street between Hillcrest Drive and the Bruin Activity Center, wrapping around the west side of the school along Hillcrest Drive.
