Williams & Hoelscher Qualify for Chemistry Olympiad National Exam

Each year the American Chemical Society sponsors the Chemistry Olympiad National Exam. It will be administered on Saturday morning 4/16 in science teacher Gary Layman's lab to the top two performing students in chemistry courses at Bartlesville High School.

A core group of about 20 Honors Chemistry I and Chemistry II AP students have been attending tutoring sessions each Monday evening since early January and took the local exam the week after spring break.  The top sophomore scorer and the top junior scorer have attended additional tutoring sessions and will be taking the National Exam on Saturday.  The local exam was 60 multiple choice questions, while the National Exam consists of sixty multiple choice questions followed by two laboratory based questions.
