
Curricular development and implementation is directed by Dianne Martinez, the Executive Director of Elementary Schools, and Jason Langham, the Executive Director of Special Services & Secondary Schools. They are both assisted by LaDonna Chancellor, who coordinates the secondary department chairs across grades 6-12, and Kelli Bryant, who handles student assessment. There is an online listing of elementary coordinators and secondary department chairs.

Core Curricula
A LiveBinders project to provide online access to core curricula is under development.
The district uses common core curriculum assessments to improve both its vertical and horizontal alignment and help with targeted remediation.
Elementary AssessmentsThe elementary schools are using STAR Reading & Math for curriculum assessments. STAR Reading determines the reading level of each student. A quick assessment with immediate assessment results, STAR Reading allows teachers to measure individual and class growth. This assessment allows teachers to do the following:

| Secondary Assessments
In 2019-2020, for high school core subjects taught by more than one teacher, there will be 1st and 3rd quarter assessments, while the semester test will serve as a 2nd quarter assessment. In 2019-2020, there will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarter assessments for middle school core subjects taught by more than one teacher.
STAR for middle school English The middle school English courses will use of STAR Reading assessments, with supplemental assessments to address other aspects of the Oklahoma Academic Standards. ExactPath will be an available remediation service, along with Study Island. STAR for middle school math The middle school math courses will use STAR Math assessments, with Exact Path and ST Math as available supplemental/remediation services.

The district will use the Canvas Learning Management System to conduct all other secondary curriculum assessments. |
