Listening to voicemail on your iPhone

One great feature of the district's new phone system is that it delivers voicemails as WAV attachments via email. This lets you easily listen to a voicemail from a mobile device by simply tapping on the attachment.

In fall 2019 some users' Gmail apps on their iPhones could no longer play the voicemail attachments. Tapping them would cause the Gmail app to close.

If you are a victim of this problem, the solution is to uninstall the Gmail app on your iPhone and then promptly reinstall it. That seems to clear up the issue without any big hassles with reloading data, etc.
