Webmail on Mobile Devices

CAUTION: These instructions do NOT work on a Chromebook. Use Outlook Web App on Chromebooks.
Configuring a mobile smartphone or tablet to use webmail:

To configure your smart phone, tablet, or other mobile device to access your district email, use the device’s email configuration settings to add a Microsoft Exchange account with these settings:

Server: webmail.bps-ok.org
Domain: Bartlesville

and your usual Outlook username and password.


iOS
Apple iOS instructions
(iPhones, iPads, iPod Touch, etc.)

  1. Add your Exchange account by tapping Settings > Accounts and Passwords > Add Account > Exchange.
  2. Enter your email address and password, and add a description of this email account if you like.
  3. The device will need to know the Server, which is webmail.bps-ok.org and the Domain, which is Bartlesville.
  4. Select what to sync from choices like Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes. Tape Save when you're finished.
You can set up automatic out-of-office replies and change how often you want mail to sync from Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and selecting your Exchange account, and then tapping Account Info.


Android
Android instructions
(various non-Apple smartphones, Amazon devices, etc.)

Either use the mail app that comes with your device or install the Outlook for Android app from the Google Play Store or other store.

Default Mail App
  1. Open the default mail app (sometimes called Mail) and tap Settings > Account > Add  account > Email.
  2. Type your full email address, type your password, and then tap Next.
  3. Select Exchange.
  4. If prompted, accept the defaults on the Exchange server settings page, and tap Next. But if your device doesn't connect, enter the following:
    • Domain: Bartlesville
    • Exchange Server: webmail.bps-ok.org
  5. After the device verifies the server settings, the Account Options page opens. Select how you want to receive your mail and tap Next.
  6. If you see Activate device administrator?, select Activate.
  7. Give the account a name and then tap Done.
TIP: You might need to wait 10-15 minutes after you set up your account before you can send or receive email.

Outlook for Android App
  1. Open the app and tap the navigation control at the bottom of your device or tap More > Settings > Add Account
  2. On the Add An Account page, tap Exchange and enter your full email address, your password, and then tap Sign In.
  3. If needed, the server is webmail.bps-ok.org and the domain is Bartlesville.
