Ceth Barnett is a graduate of Oral Roberts University with his BMA in Music Performance.
He was on the Marching Band Staff at Union High School from 1997 to 2005 as part of the
visual staff, trombone teacher and also taught the Trombone Choir. In 2006, he worked
on the Visual Staff at Bartlesville High School and then went on to work on the
Visual Staff at Berryhill High School in 2007. As a trombonist, Ceth has
performed with Tulsa Signature Symphony, Tulsa Philharmonic, Tulsa Starlight
Band, Sentimental Journey, and Tulsa Slide Company. Artists he has performed
with include Clarke Terry, Steve Wiest, Frank Mantooth, The Temptations, Byron
Stripling, Carmen, Colin Raye, and Peter Cetera. Ceth currently teaches private
lessons at Tulsa Community College, and directs the Oral Roberts
University Women's Basketball Pep Band. Ceth is excited to return to the
Marching Band Staff at Bartlesville High School. |

Miss Wendy Benford - MH Band comes to Bartlesville from Pryor where she has taught for
the previous 5 years. She is a graduate of the University of Tulsa where she received her Bachelors
degree in Music Education and the University of Iowa where she earned a Master of Arts degree
in clarinet performance. Miss Benford has performed with the Waterloo/Cedar
Falls Symphony Orchestra, Southeast Iowa Symphony and is currently a member of
the Northeast Oklahoma Woodwind Quintet. In addition to teaching here in Bartlesville, Miss Benford is also an adjunct
faculty member at TCC where she teaches Fundamentals of Music and private clarinet.

Mrs. Christyn Champagne- Color Guard resides in Broken Arrow, OK with her Husband, Tim. She began
her passion of performing in the Catoosa High School Color/Winter Guard of
which became the four-time State Winter Guard Champions 1995-1999, and competed
at nationals as a WGI Finalist and Semi-Finalist. The summer after High School,
Christyn began teaching as a staff member of Marching Auxiliaries, a Texas-based
company that conducts summer auxiliary camps at universities and high schools
across the United States. The next winter season, Christyn
went on to perform with Black Gold Winter Guard for two years, ending her last
year as a captain, and in 2002 marched DCI with the Colts Drum & Bugle
Corps. In the fall of 1999, Christyn began working with Collinsville as a guard technician, and
transitioned to Sapulpa High School the next school year. After two years
with Sapulpa, Christyn accepted the position of Color Guard Coordinator
and remained with Sapulpa through 2005. Her work experience
includes: 2000 – Collinsville High School – OBA State Marching Band Champions
& Winter Guard State Champions 2001 – 2005 Sapulpa High School – Winter Guard
State Championships twice, 1st Runner Up twice and 2nd Runner Up once. After the 2005 school year, Christyn took leave from the
guard arena in order to complete her degree. She graduated from the University of Tulsa in May of 2006 with her Bachelors
in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance. She currently works as
a credit analyst with Arvest Bank.

Mr. Alex Claussen HSBand earned his Bachelor Music Education
from the University of Central Oklahoma. He has taught at Duncan Middle School and High School and comes to Bartlesville most recently from Sapulpa Public
Schools where he was Coordinator of Instrumental Music. The Southwest Oklahoma Band Director’s Association named Mr.
Claussen the Outstanding Band Director of the Year in 2002. Both ASBDA and Phi
Beta Mu have named Mr. Claussen the Outstanding Young Band Director of the year
for the state of Oklahoma. Mr. Claussen's professional affiliations
include Oklahoma Bandmasters Association (past-president), Oklahoma Music
EducatorsAssociation (Past Band Chair), Phi Beta Mu (President2008-2010), and
American Federation of Musicians. Mr. Claussen maintains an active schedule
playing thetuba professionally, making guest conducting appearances for various
honor bands and camps, andadjudicating festivals in Oklahoma and Arkansas. His wife, Amitia, was formerly the
fourth grade teacher at Emerson Elementary in Duncan and is currently a Homemade Gourmet
Independent Distributor and "stay-at-home-mom". Mr. and Mrs. Claussen
have a five-year-old daughter, Abbie and a 19 month old daughter named Katie. |
