For this project we did two drawings and then cut them into one inch strips. We numbered the strips to make them easier to reassemble in order. We also did each drawing on a different color of paper to make it easier. Some students did a portrait of Degas on one drawing and one of his dancers on the other.
After both drawings are put back together with alternating strips from each of the two drawings the paper is folded into a zig zag. When looking straight at the drawing it is hard to tell what is in the picture. By viewing the drawing from the sides, each of the two drawings can be seen. |
