Kites
Students in the fourth grade made these kites. This sled kite is the "Frustrationless Flyer" from Into the Wind. Students used acrylic paint to put a face on their kite. We looked at some Japanese kites with warrior faces for inspiration. We began with a black outline brushed on in a bold style, and then added bright colors that would make the kite highly visible.
