Students did self-portraits for a project that we started in the art room and many students worked on at home.

We looked at a variety of self-portraits by well known artists. We paid particular attention to the work of Frieda Kahlo.

The primary goal of the self-portrait was for the student to show something about their own personality. The portrait did not have to look like them. Students could work in any media.
