New turf at Custer to be ready for start of season

Work continues on the turf project at Custer Stadium Aug. 15 on the Bartlesville High School campus. New artificial turf is being installed on the field at Custer Stadium in anticipation of the BHS varsity football team's opening home contest, which is scheduled for Sept. 5 when the Bruins play host to Stillwater in a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. Work on the field is expected to be completed by the end of the month, according to SportExe officials, who are overseeing the turf project. Once completed, the turf will feature “ Bartlesville ” in one endzone and “Bruins” in the other with the Bruin logo at midfield.
